The Story Behind the Shop

Adam, the owner and lead technician of ABQ Phone Repair & Accessories, has been fascinated by electronics since childhood. After moving from Turkey to the United States in 2010, he began managing a phone-case kiosk in a Texas mall. Every day, customers arrived with damaged phones and few reliable repair options. Recognizing the need for honest service, skilled workmanship, and fast turnaround times, Adam decided to build a repair business of his own.

A few years later, a new opportunity brought him to Albuquerque. Adam opened his first location inside Coronado Center before moving to the current Menaul Boulevard shop in 2016. Albuquerque quickly became more than a place to do business it became home. From the Sandia Mountains and nearby campgrounds to paragliding above the ridges, Adam developed a genuine connection to the city and its community. Today, ABQ Phone Repair & Accessories continues to serve Albuquerque with the same care, honesty, and dedication that inspired its beginning.

Expertise Built Across Three Continents

Some of the most difficult repair work happens where customers never see it-under a microscope and deep inside the device. Micro-soldering damaged logic boards, carefully disassembling foldable phones, and recovering data from failed drives all require specialized tools, steady hands, and years of hands-on experience.

Adam developed these skills through countless hours at the repair bench, working on one challenging device after another. He expanded that experience through professional training in Turkey and the Netherlands, along with trips to China, where many of today’s repair parts, tools, and technologies are developed and manufactured. Each experience brought new techniques, better equipment, and a deeper understanding of how modern electronics are designed and how to repair them properly.

That combination of international training and real-world experience is the foundation of the work performed at ABQ Phone Repair & Accessories today. From advanced board-level repairs and foldable devices to difficult cases that other repair shops may be unable to complete, our team is prepared to take on the repairs that require greater skill, precision, and persistence,

Sera

Senior Technician and Store Manager

One of our longest-tenured team members. Sera specializes in phone repairs and game console repairs, and manages the day-to-day operations of the shop. If you’ve called or visited in person, there’s a good chance Sera helped you.

Adam Atakan Aynaci

Owner and Lead Technician

Founded the shop in 2016. Handles the hardest cases personally, board-level work, complex data recovery, and any device another shop has refused. Trained in Turkey, the Netherlands, and China.

The Jon Jones Story

A few years ago, UFC champion Jon Jones came in after being turned away by several other repair shops in town. His iPhone was unrepairable, they said. Adam had it working in 20 minutes. The full story is in the video below.

That kind of repair isn’t unusual for us. Devices other shops have given up on come in here regularly, and most of the time we send them home working. It’s the work the team is built around.

Walk-ins welcome, no gatekeeping behind appointment-only systems. No upselling someone into a repair that makes no sense for them. No pretending a job is more complicated than it is.

Most of the time we can fix what comes in. When we can’t, we tell you upfront and you walk out without paying for a diagnostic.
